Jet Blue is taking a more unique approach to promoting their new LAX routes, instead of just utilizing radio and billboards they are promoting the routes via BetaBlue.   The airline is utilizing its one plane with wireless internet access, BetaBlue, and loading it up with YouTube stars.  All of the passengers will be asked to Tweet and upload YouTube videos about their in-flight experience, while it is happening.

JetBlue also hired Howcast to produce several how-to videos related to the air travel business, including “How to Fly Coast to Coast” and “Happy Jetting with Delphine.”  These videos will be placed on YouTube and Howcast’s network.

Hopefully this experimental marketing campaign will be successful for JetBlue.  What do you think? Would these tweets and videos make you more inclined to fly JetBlue?
