Yahoo’s advertiser, Klaussner Home Furnishings, is one of the first to use Yahoo’s self-serve ad product, My Display Ads.  Yahoo is not the first search engine to come out with a self-service display, Google, MySpace and Facebook all have similar products but Yahoo has a focus and it is to convert search advertisers into display advertisers.

Advertisers pick a creative template from over 800 choices, but they also have the ability to bring their own ideas to the table.  Then once the ads have been built, they are purchased on a cost-per-thousand impression basis.

Yahoo hopes that not only local advertisers but also large advertisers get hooked on My Display Ads.
